Mik Reed - '93 Blue Triumph Tiger 900 - 30 - Kent.

Mik caught the bug for distance riding with his first National Rally entry in 1998. From this small and inauspicious beginning, managing to complete the Gold Award despite crashing before the start! he has gone on to the other national rallies, gaining a Three Nations in 1999, Long Distance Trialing, finishing his first Lands End Run in Easter 2000, and Iron Butt Association sanctioned events, being part of the team that broke the record for the most riders to complete the 1000 mile in 24 hours ride,

the Saddlesore 1000, concurrently in England, June 1999, and America, September 2000. June 2000 also saw him completing the IBA BunBurner Gold, 1500 miles in 24 hours. This year was his first Round Britain Rally, the salient points being rain, more rain, and two trips on the back of RAC trucks. Wife permitting he hopes to do more RBR's in the years to come.

Kai Reed - Pillion of anything he can fit on - 6 - Kent.

Capitalising on the breakdown of his fathers beloved Triumph Tiger, Kai jumped at the chance to ride pillion for a weekend trip to collect 6 checks in South West Scotland this year as he could fit on the pillion of the ZZR600 borrowed from his mother. Despite his fathers successful summoning of yet more rain he managed to keep dry for the whole journey and ensured that many a Little Chef was visited. In good weather he could be found hanging off the back of the ZZR

pretending to be racing in the worlds slowest WSB competition.
His likes include Castles, Memorials, and other things more obviously historic than Coulter Motte. He hopes to improve on his 6 checks in the future. My personal website
