89 OLD RIVER BRIDGE

Bangor Bridge is an impressive structure of medieval origin with extensive 17th century work. It is located within Bangor-is-y-Coed Conservation Area and provides a crossing point over the River Dee. It is a cambered bridge with unequal steeped arches of red sandstone, with the parapet and cutwaters mainly of yellow sandstone.
