My interest in motorcycles started many years ago when my father bought a BSA 250cc C10L , I was about 12 years old at the time (where have the last 40 years gone to.) He followed that with a BSA Gold Flash with double adult sidecar and after that a 650 Panther with double adult and child sidecar, Parents on the outside me my sister and the family dog on the inside. My first powered machine was a 50cc Raleigh Run-about with just about enough power to carry me to and from work, Technical College, and weekend trips to the local pond for a bit of fishing. After that I purchased a new (£129-10s-0p) BSA D7 Bantam, I won the money in an Angling Times find the float competition. After a couple of years this was p/x'd for a new 200cc Triumph Tiger Cub (Triumph engine in a Bantam frame). I kept this one for about 3 years and then gave up on bikes till the mid 70s when I Dipped deep into some very empty pockets and purchased a 150cc MZ for commuting to work, what a poor machine it was too.I managed to stick it for a couple of years then gave up again until 1994 and a Honda 650 NTV with the tag `Born Again Biker', then a 1996 Triumph Trident ( £2,000 in repairs and servicing in 16000 miles, it had to go) and my current bike is 1999 Yamaha 900 Diversion, this one I really like,

Chris (wife) and myself are looking forward to a few runs out on it in this years RBR, however time is a bit limited as we both play in a Barn Dance band at weekends. We have a 25 year old daughter, 23 and 21 year old sons none are interested in motorcycles. One thing we are hoping to do this year is a couple of weeks touring in Europe, the Pyrenees sounds like a nice idea, never driven on the wrong side of the road though. --------
